Great breech! It has a slight purple/pinkish colored finish (not black at all) and it seemed kinda spotty as if it was not de-greased before finishing. I don’t really care about that. I used it for a .257 Bottled Marauder build, and it worked fantastic. Peaked out at 150 ft lbs with a 75 gr NSA pellet, so far after the initial testing. The Crosman 2240 seal (pretty sure that’s what the bolt seal is) for the bolt probe did not want to hold the pressure. I ended up machining a probe that has an o-ring seal in the barrel, as well as the seal on the bolt face that’s included. Works like a charm. FYI it fits Gen 1 Marauders. The knurled bolt knob is very nice to use. I would recommend one for any custom build!

I just received my breech today. Very nice build quality. I inserted my .500 OD .357 TJ barrel, and perfect fit. Cocking the bolt is done by a knurled knob and not a bolt handle, so I will take a bit getting use to it. Only qualm is that the bolt doesn’t fully meet & seal the barrel. So I had to unscrew the bolt probe and add extra rubber gaskets, but that seems to have fixed. All and all, I’d buy another one.
