The Daisy Model 5V is a 30’s and 40’s era spring-piston break barrel pellet rifle with a hand checkered wood grip. This one is a .177 caliber variant with a rifled, tapered barrel. They were manufactured between 1931 and 1940 placing them in the period that could make this an original Diana. It may also be one of the only Diana airguns with this particular trademark on the barrel with the letter D inside a circle with an arrow.
The rear sight is probably not original. The metal retains about 85% of the original finish. The wood grips are in about 80% original condition. It’s a good looking pistol for being so old.
It was cleaned, lubed, and resealed in our shop. Velocity tested at around 408 fps using lead pellets.
