The model 179 was made from 1960 to 1981. It was part of the Daisy “ Spittin’ Image “ series and is a replica of the famous Colt single action revolver featured in every cowboy movie ever filmed. These are not hard shooting guns. By definition it is a catapult gun, slinging the BB with a spring.
The metal retains about 90% of the original finish with most of the wear being where the lever slides against the underside of the barrel. The grips are in about 95% original condition with no cracks or chips.
It was cleaned, lubed, and resealed in our shop. Velocity tested at around 143 fps.
