The Daisy 177 Target Special is a 150 shot spring-piston BB gun. This one has a painted finish. They were manufactured between 1957 and 1978. This one is marked JC Higgins Model 799.19250. It also has black grip which is fairly rare.
The metal retains about 90% of the original painted finish. The grips are in good condition with no cracks and only slight warping if any (note: warping in plastic parts is typical for airguns made during this time period).
It was cleaned, lubed, and resealed in our shop. Velocity tested at around 80 fps. This gun shoots, and though new they barely shot over 100fps this gun is being sold “AS IS” mainly for its value as a collectable airgun. Its not an everyday shooter.
