The J.C. Higgins 126.2830 is a Crosman 180 that was made for Sears. This one’s a first variant which has a cross bolt safety. Crosman 180’s are single powerlet CO2, .22 caliber, bolt action single shot pellet rifles with manual safety, and were manufactured between 1956 and 62′.
The wood stock has just a little minor wear. The metal retains about 85% of the original finish with fairly even wear. It’s a nice looking rifle.
This one has been cleaned, lubed, and resealed in our shop. The velocity was tested using lead pellets at around 467 fps.
- .22 caliber
- Bolt action

Was the barrel spacer replaced with black, or did some J.C. Higgins come with black barrel spacers?
