The Crosman Model 140 is a .22 caliber single shot, multi-pump air rifle with a rifled steel barrel, hardwood stock and machined metal construction. This model was made from 1954-68.
This is the third variant, made form 1956-1962.
The wood stock is OK. no chips or cracks. This wood finish on this gun is very close to the original. I think the top coat was restored without altering the underling finish. Well done, this is a nice one.
The metal shows some brown patina but is smooth, about 50% of the original blue remains, mostly on the air tube.
The condition of the box is good for its age. Couple of tears but in remarkably good condition. You don’t see many of these boxes.
Velocity tested 610 fps with 10 pumps using 14.3 gr Crosman Hollow Points. Shooting good.
Overall this is a nice one.
