Here are some notes that I received from customers, including one that did not go as well as it should. I am constantly amazed that an ordinary guy living in a small rural village can do business with people half way around the globe.  How lucky we are to live when and where we are….

Hello Dennis,
I wanted to let you know that the mainspring arrived today.
After i had installed the spring we had a little fun in the garden with the daisy and it worked well.
We are very happy that this toy from 1960 is back in good shape.

Hello Dennis,

The Daisy’s arrived in good order. Very pleased with the whole process. My family gave me a new 75th Anniversary Red Ryder for my birthday in February. Now I have a 111-40 Red Ryder Copper Band carbine (1940) to go with it. 75 years for me and the carbine. I feel like a kid in a toy store. More business coming your way, for sure and Thanks again.

I just received my Crosman 600 back from Dixie Gun and Fish. Just thought I would let you know that I am extremely happy with your repair. Fired 40 shots with no malfunction. This gun was a gift over 50 years ago and has been in storage for the last 40 years in the original box.Glad to bring it back to life.

Dear Dennis, All I can say is wow, what a shooter! I think that peep sight probably helps my old eyes, but I managed a group of thirty pellets (Crosman Premier 7.9 Gr. HP) I could fit a dime over at ten yards off a sandbag. Thanks very much for the rifle and I’ll most certainly do business again!

I’m way over due in thanking you for your good repair and service on my 1944 Red Ryder. The gun was waiting for us and in good condition when we arrived. I don’t think it has ever shot better. My Lt Col. Marine son conducted fire arm safety and shooting classes for our two grandchildren and we all had our turns at target shooting. Fun was had by all.

I received my bb gun today. I just wanted to send a message saying thank you for helping save this family heirloom in the making. As far as I can tell right now it’s absolutely perfect. And I can’t thank you enough. For being honest and fair.. Just thank you sir. It meant a lot that you saved it
Again thank you sir. It is really is kinda’ odd but a bb gun is worth more then any powder charge to me . And my kids are at the age to start now and it makes me so happy now they can start how I did. I know you was honest and told me it’s not worth the money. That earned my respect and so far it’s flawless so you are great at what you do.

Just to let you know, the Crosman 101 arrived  this AM.  It looks better than your pictures, almost new condition.  I never thought I’d get one of these in this condition.  Most of the time I have to “rebuild” my air gun purchases, as I like the older Benji & Sheridan pumper’s.  This purchase was reconditioned perfect….thank you for doing a very good job.

Hi Dennis, I just can’t tell you how pleased I was when I got the package I ordered from you for my Daisy 880 when I opened it up the riffle stock and forearm grips were so nice I couldn’t wight to fix my 40 year old Diasy 880 witch has had the gun stock broke off for ruffly 20 years and it shoots straight and spot on like I remember I have two Daisy 880s so when it comes to repair parts you will be my first contact Dennis!! A note from Dennis Baker, Airgun Repair

OK…all this positive feedback is great but sometimes things go wrong. No matter how hard you try, stuff happens. So what happens at Baker Airguns when things wrong? We think that’s what distinguishes the best companies ….what happens when things go wrong.

Here is some feedback from a customer whose Crosman 114 leaked after we repaired it.

He called and explained what was wrong. We asked him to return the gun to us. We offered to repair the gun again and ship it back at no charge and in addition, reimburse his cost of returning the gun to us. We repaired the gun the same day we received it, finding some dirt and grit that we missed the first time. Small pieces of grit can bounce around harmlessly while the gun is being tested in the shop and then trouble after the gun is delivered to the customer.

After  reworking the original repair, we returned his gun along with a check for the extra shipping. Here is the note we received back from him:

Thanks for your offer to pay for return shipping.  I fully understand the situation as i operate a small business selling and repairing model trains.  Please keep the shipping refund.  You have a business to run, and a refund plus the return shipping would eat up nearly all of your very reasonable repair cost.
